If you are interested in starting judo but concerned that your lack of fitness, age, general health, or previous injuries might mean that judo is not for you then come along for a chat and to watch a training session. You will see that all ages and level of fitness can safely enjoy judo. You might not be the next Olympic champion but judo is for anyone who is prepared to work and play with commitment.
Visiting judoka are more than welcome but please bring proof of insurance (and/or an up-to-date license).
If you have been away from judo for a while but want to get back on the mat just let us know your previous level of experience. Judo spirit never dies although it may need rekindling or redirecting.
Adult classes are a mix of men, women and older juniors.
Junior classes are run as mixed ability classes for children and teenagers from 5 to 16, Senior Judoka are encouraged to help supervise and teach.
BJC (Maldon) members can choose to train once or twice a week; either on Saturday mornings, Thursday evenings or both.
Judoka pay £2 per training session, whether they do the junior mat, senior mat or both mats.
Interested, but need convincing email us or see getting started.
